While in custody, Diddy was placed on suicide watch, but the rapper’s lawyer said his client was in a positive mood.
The documentary The Downfall of Diddy : The Indictment released by TMZ reveals many details related to the arrest of Diddy (real name: Sean Combs ) on September 16. The 55-year-old star is currently being held in a harsh prison in Brooklyn, New York (USA) for being accused of sex trafficking, conspiracy to extort and transportation to participate in prostitution. According to the unreleased indictment, the I’ll Be Missing You singer denies all charges against him. To date, the “music mogul” has been denied bail twice.
Diddy has reportedly been placed on suicide watch, according to media reports. People ‘s sources say the decision was made as a precaution because Combs is in shock and his mental state is unclear. The New York Times reports that the facility the rapper is in is notorious for violence, poor living conditions, contaminated food, and suicides. This has left many curious about the status of the “sexual predator” behind bars.
In the TMZ documentary , Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo said that despite the difficulties surrounding him, the 1969-born star is still maintaining a positive attitude. “His spirit is really positive. I spend hours with him every day… His determination is very strong,” he said. Lawyer Agnifilo also added: “He is focused on defending himself and has accepted the fact that this is his current position.” He also emphasized that he is trying to set a trial date as soon as possible.
Diddy’s lawyer previously caused a stir when he explained in a TMZ documentary about the 1,000 bottles of baby oil that authorities found in the rapper’s home during a raid in March. He said he wasn’t sure if the bottles were related to his client’s sex scandal. He speculated that the ” Act Bad” hitmaker may have purchased the product from Costco or another wholesaler because “he has a big house.” In response to Agnifilo’s statement, a Costco representative told TMZ that none of their US locations sell the product.
Additionally, in the recently released documentary, Diddy’s lawyer asserted that the video recording the “rap kingpin” abusing his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura is unrelated to the accusations the infamous star is facing, even though the video will be brought to trial.
“It’s hard for anyone to watch this video. It’s not evidence of sex trafficking, though. There was a certain level of toxicity and drug use in the 10-year relationship between Mr. Combs and the woman he loved. Their difficulties did not stem from the time they spent together. Their difficulties stemmed from her cheating on him and him cheating on her… That’s not relevant to the charges,” he added.
Previously, in November 2023, Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging that the rapper subjected her to decades of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking. The 6X artist later denied all allegations and settled the case with his ex-girlfriend for an undisclosed amount, asserting that this action was in no way an admission of wrongdoing. A few months ago, a video of the infamous star abusing Ventura in 2016 was suddenly leaked, forcing Combs to apologize for his violent actions.
